2024 started very slow for All Roads. With very limited projects to bid for in a highly competitive industry, and narrowly missing out on many tenders for months, we were eagerly idling for available work. Our ground speed was 0. A few projects that came through our way had very tight profit margins.

While we are eagerly optimistic about opportunities that lie ahead, we are also realistic about anticipating challenges that 2025 will bring. Whichever way we see All Roads’ tomorrow, one thing is certain, we are confident in our ability to achieve even greater success ahead.

Despite these challenges, our team remained resilient, focused and continuously sought opportunities to showcase our capabilities. Soon after, we started securing new projects and as the year concludes, we've won 176 Road Rehabilitation Projects across the Lower Mainland, totaling $70,000,000 in value. That's what we mean by "from 0 to 176 in 12".

This achievement is a testament to our Estimating Team's meticulous planning, accurate cost estimation, and effective negotiation skills. Each project was carefully evaluated to ensure feasibility and profitability, contributing significantly to our overall success. We navigate through the competitive landscape and emerge stronger.

Our crews assembled and tackled these projects, turning challenging jobs with small margins into successful ventures. Their ability to adapt to varying project requirements and deliver high-quality results under pressure is commendable. We firmly believe we have the best team in the industry, consistently proving their excellence year after year. Their dedication and teamwork have been the cornerstone of our success, enabling us to exceed client expectations and build lasting relationships.

All Roads Completes over 1.8 million lane-kms worth of asphalt paving in 2024

Here is a fun-filled video chronicling our life at All Roads in 2024. It's only 15-minutes long, so grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

Churning Out Steaming Hot Blacktops

Our asphalt plant crews demonstrated exceptional hard work and dedication, not only meeting but exceeding our annual sales expectations and they produced over 300,000 MT of asphalt in 2024.

The team truly came together, especially when our Plant Manager, Dennis Eby, faced significant health challenges. Despite Dennis's battle with cancer and a broken hip, the crew ensured he had the time needed for recovery while maintaining their responsibilities. Special thanks to Jordan, Owen, Warren, Manny, Bao, Jeff, Amir, Ali, and Wayne for their extraordinary efforts and for producing the best mix in the Lower Mainland. Their commitment to quality and efficiency has set a new benchmark in the industry.

Our Grading Crews Came Through Excelling

Our grade crews completed numerous high-profile projects, including the Royal Columbian Hospital and Surrey Intersection Improvements, among other projects of all sizes. Their expertise in grading and site preparation has been instrumental in the successful execution of these projects. The team's ability to handle complex tasks with precision and professionalism has earned them a reputation for reliability and excellence.

Our Concrete Crews Were Among the Busiest

"Let's say we pour an average of 15 trucks a week at 8 cubic meters a load. This means we poured around 6,240 cubic meters of concrete in 2024", says Johnny Ribeiro, our General Concrete Superintendent. "To put it in perspective, average residential driveway construction takes about 10 cubic meters of concrete, so we've poured enough concrete to build driveways for over 624 houses".

Johnny, Rick, and the team went above and beyond for their fellow Superintendents and clients, ensuring timely and high-quality results. Their proficiency in concrete work, coupled with their dedication to meeting project deadlines, has been a key factor in our success. Their efforts have not only enhanced our project outcomes but also strengthened our client relationships.

Milling Away Old Blacktops

Our milling crews are the first on-site and often the first to complete their tasks. They always supported other teams, lending a helping hand whenever needed. Their proactive approach and willingness to assist others have fostered a collaborative work environment, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our projects.

With Over 1.8 Million Lane-Kms Worth of Paving Done, We All Feel Victorious!

Our paving crews are passionate about delivering no-deficiencies results throughout the year. The crews' meticulous approach to paving has ensured smooth and durable surfaces, enhancing the quality and longevity of our projects. Their dedication to excellence has set a high standard in the industry, and we are proud of their achievements.

Our traffic control team, often underappreciated, is indeed an integral part of our organization.

Their contributions are indispensable to our operations. This year presented numerous challenges due to the complexity of the projects they managed. However, their positive attitudes and exemplary work ethic ensured that our crews were always prepared and safe, allowing everyone to return home safely each day. We are immensely grateful for their dedication. Jolene, Alla, Monique, Niaomi, and Angela, we can always rely on you, and we are truly thankful to have you on our team.

With one of the most talented teams in the industry, our Group strongly believes in the further growth potential of All Roads. While we are eagerly optimistic about opportunities that lie ahead, we are also realistic about anticipating challenges that 2025 will bring. Whichever way we see All Roads' tomorrow, one thing is certain, we are confident in our ability to achieve even greater success ahead.
