After completing a challenging 3,200 kms journey that originated from Marquette, Iowa, our 2 new silos have finally arrived at our asphalt plant yard in Coquitlam. Each measuring at 13 ' x 13' x 50', it takes granularly detailed routing and planning to transport equipment of this size through one of the longest interstate systems in the world.

All Roads is getting a step closer to start offering 5 different asphalt mixes at any given time.

5 silos means 5 different types of asphalt mixes will be available at any given time.

Now we are ready to enter the next phase of our asphalt plant expansion project and can't wait to see these silos standing tall, bringing the total number of silos at our plant to 5!

5 silos means 5 different types of asphalt mixes will be available at any given time. It also increases our storage capacity by 70% or 400 tonnes.

"The greater benefit lies in improved efficiency, allowing our production rate to remain consistent while providing a wider variety of mixes to better serve all our customers. We are the first ones to have five silos in the area and once fully operational we can supply five different mixes, including a mix for superpaves for cities and municipalities and driveway mix for our private customers," says Dennis Eby, All Roads Asphalt Plant manager.

"We are a customer-focused operation and they surely are going to love us more for our additional new mix offerings. We're gonna be like big smorgasbord here", Eby adds with laughter.

We had to re-engineer the ground for our expansion plan. In about 4 weeks these new silos will be standing and in another 2 weeks all electrical work will be done. After that we will be ready to see how successful we were in turning our plant into a "smorgasbord of asphalt mixes".
